An Eight year old... and renovations

Well, we've been busy since Liam turned one!  He is full of precociousness, and Lucia is teaching him as much as she can... he doesn't want to walk (or doesn't think he can)...  

In the meantime, Lucia turned EIGHT.  

EIGHT!8!8!  

When did that happen?  How is it possible my baby girl is EIGHT???  Yikes... such an amazing young lady... we are really proud of her.

Our summer is officially here and underway, and we are off to a good start.  Lucia has already had a week with Grandma, a week at sleep away camp and a week at Cool Spring Baptist.  This week she is at horse camp and loving it, and next week is Drama camp (phew!)... not that she needs much training in the drama realm!

Otherwise, we are good - we had some construction / destruction in our house which we are extremely excited about and are basically back together but still have painting to do... of course, we welcome folks stopping by for the grand tour!

Our little guy is ONE!!!

I can't believe it, but my sweet baby turned one today... I don't know where the time has gone - so much has changed, in so many ways! He is an amazing blessing and such a happy boy (and you wouldn't know it, but he is sick and drippy in this picture)... Honestly, every day he makes me smile and makes my heart melt - he is so sweet and kind and is getting such a neat personality!

None of us can imagine life without him!

We'll share some more pictures from the weekend... I'm sure we'll get the requisite "cake smash" picture!  Hope you are all well and not sick like we've been... 

2nd & 4th Place in her horse show this weekend!

Lucia had a great showing this weekend... she took 2nd place in the "Class 1 walk/trot" section and then 4th place in the "Class 2 walk/trot/canter" section. It was her first time cantering in a show, AND on a horse she doesn't normally ride, so GO LUCIA!!!

Dennis and I got to go out to a black-tie event which was super fun, and Liam is just so fun - active, happy (mostly), army-crawling, and trying to get into everything! He's been fighting a few ear infections, so those have taken a toll but all in all our life continues to be great! Spring break... not too far away, so lots more pictures from that soon!

Hi all...  not sure who is even following, but here are a few new pictures!  Liam is SO CLOSE to crawling.  He is "army" crawling (i.e. moving around quite well on his belly, but not quite up on his knees).  He has 8 teeth (!) now, and is really eating a TON, including not-such-baby-food when offered!  Lucia is great - still active in Girl Scouts and Horse Back Riding... in fact, today she had some of each - 3 hours of GS in the AM, then 2 hours of riding at lunch... and then passed out!  Love it.  She NEVER falls asleep in the afternoon!  Last weekend we got a quick visit from my mom - wish it was more... but I'll take what I can get.  Hope everyone is well...  here are the pictures!
